Currently I’m raveling solo around the world - seeking out the Earth’s most sacred places and reporting back for the Nurture blog and Nurture Pod.
How in the hell did I wind up doing that?!
Well- it’s been a journey. Let me take you back to around the turn of the century..
25 years ago I moved to a small village on Oregon coast and built an off grid homestead and organic vegetable garden.
Slowly over the next decade I grew that patch of kale into a community vegetable farm called R-evolution Gardens, which ended up feeding hundreds of families and training many young farmers.
In 2014 I not only got married to a beautiful man but we got the opportunity to create a farm based wellness center on a historic property across the street from the homestead.
With the support of community financing we were able to invest a massive amount love and energy to create a beautiful retreat center: North Fork 53 Communitea Wellness.
For over ten years North Fork 53 was a sacred community space for lodging, healing, relaxation, tea, food, art, music and celebrations.
Our mission for North Fork 53 was to be a space for what my friend Iris coined “Nurture Culture”- a way of being that values beauty, community, creativity and sustainability.
The dream was interrupted in 2020 by the global Covid pandemic and then even more so in 2023 by a sudden divorce that completely rocked my world.
During the total solar eclipse in the spring of 2024 - I heard the first whisper of an new life vision on the wind.
After a year of deep soul searching and cleaning out my 6,000 sq ft barn, I decided to sell North Fork 53 and start a completely new chapter!
In the summer of 2025 went from 4 acres, five bedrooms, three cats, a dog and several cars to a carry on backpack .
I set off on the full moon in August to visit some of the Earth’s most sacred sites- starting in Peru.
This website is where I report on my personal journey and pilgrimage as well as my ongoing fascination with the emerging culture of peacemakers and healers happening all around the world.
