In this episode Iris and Ginger are between oceans discussing how to weave back together the disconnection and destruction that western industrial culture is hell bent on.

For the vast part of humanity's time on planet Earth art, music, dance, storytelling, ritual, work, community, birth and death all used to live in our bodies and minds as a village- the fundamental interwoven parts of what it meant to be human. Now in late stage capitalism these are divided, profit driven commodities that we mainly either perform or consume for money.

Can we reclaim our creative energies to heal the divide? What if western psychology is part of the problem?

Trigger warning- there is a brief discussion of sexual abuse and trauma included in this episode.

Nurture Pod 63: Adoration of light, death and eclipses

The Nurture Pod returns after a long glacial break in Iceland. Ginger was driving around fjords and dancing under sheets of ice and not anywhere near reliable wifi or a microphone.

Now Ginger is based in Scotland for the fall and the Nurture Pod resumes with a check in on the past eclipse season, the passing of many great souls, and Iris's upcoming collective art installation show the Adoration of Light opening on September 12th at the Astoria Visual Arts Center.

Nurture Pod 62: Full moon over Edinburgh

Welcome back to the Nurture Pod. In this episode Iris and Ginger weave threads between the old towns of Edinburgh and Astoria. Iris tending to her indigo cauldron and Ginger bumping over cobblestones on her ebike.

The late July full moon in Aquarius illuminated many things-some of them will be up for deeper scrutiny in the solar eclipse coming in August. In this podcast you can hear the moon, Jupiter, sun and Pluto all having their say in the warp and weft of words about life and the future.

Nurture Pod 61: Filling the basket

Happy late summer dear Nurture Pod! Iris and Ginger are seed saving/swapping tales across the pond again in this episode #61.

In the Northern Hemisphere first harvest festivals begin and (as county fairs and fetes) and with them come all the sweat, swims and blissful blowouts of summer's peak. 2026 seeds are beginning to set for the next years cycle and the harvest of 2025 seeds are coming to fruition. Time to rest a bit now, take stock and expand into the glorious Jupiter in Leo energy.

Nurture Pod 60: Happy Summer Magic

Welcome back to the Nurture Pod. After a brief hiatus Iris and Ginger are talking Solstice vibes- post Solstice. Yes that's how it's rolling. Ginger reports from heart chakra of Glastonbury, Stonehenge and Avebury. It's crop circles, henges, barrows and sacred springs. Iris is calling in from the upper left edge where she is creating, weaving, growing natural dyes and teaching book binding spells. This is happy summer magic!
